This week I’ve been working on creating the translation pages for the story “The Mitten” and the story “One Wild Christmas. Compared to before, I'm more proficient with the process. When translating the book I realized that there is a difference between “straight translating” all of the words and “translating according to context”. It sometimes changes the structure of the sentence because of the difference in two languages, Chinese and English, but when I’m translating according to the context the sentences found in the story, it always sounds more smooth and easy to understand. It also helps me to improve my chinese.
