Today, both the student and I arrived to class on time. We started out by reviewing the previous lessons first by doing a read through of the text in Chinese. Then I asked the student to define specific vocabulary. The student did very well and definitely did a lot of self review. His pronunciation of sentences have improved. After reviewing, I introduced him to Chinese traditional Architecture, including its decorations, symmetrical design, and red-yellow based theme colors. He knows a lot about Chinese culture because he says that wood should be able to catch on fire, but wood is used in most buildings. After this introduction, I introduced the Lunar New YEar and how Chinese Zodiac signs worked. He knows the whole story of the cat, mouse, and cow. It was a great class. We had fun!
