The class on January 20th was fun as usual, I had prepared Eddie with new activities. At the beginning of class, I and Eddie read and reviewed materials prepared by the program. We studied transportation, I started off reading each line one to two times before I let Eddie read it. He understood the reading very well and although he was a bit hesitating when it came to reading by himself he was able to read through all the content by himself. After the reading, I continued to help him with his summarizing and analyzing skills. After two or three classes focusing primarily on his summarizing skills, his improvement was very obvious and I’m very glad to see it. Towards the end of the class, I also wanted to improve his ability to predict what is going to happen next based on the content we already knew. Below is a picture of the reading on transportation.
