This past week, we had to change the class time when we would meet, so we decided to change the Thursday class to a Friday class. On Friday, I decided to choose a couple of words that Ethan was not too familiar with. I first let him read them, then we moved on to begin reading the new text, “Shanghai Long Beach.” Ethan also frequently asked questions about the text. We also had the chance to discuss the unique characteristics of each city in China. I also allowed him to use Chinese to participate in a conversation with me, which was very nice.
