For Immersion Talk, I have decided to prepare entertaining cartoon videos with subtitles weekly for children to watch. This idea started when my student asked if there was any cartoon great for learning Chinese and improving fluency outside of class. Being a foreign language learner myself, I totally understand the importance of being exposed to a quality language environment---especially for children, who often learn by interacting. After researching, I found the Chinese version of Peppa Pig without subtitles on YouTube. Therefore, I downloaded the video and decided to create my own English subtitles for it. I look forward to improving them and discovering more excellent cartoons that may help one to learn this beautiful language and share the culture behind it.
