This time, our teachers taught the students a new lesson. The teachers first showed the students the vocabulary for the lessons and let students guess. After that, teachers show a conversation between two people talking about an upcoming barbeque. With more context from the video, we gave students a chance to guess the vocabulary’s meaning.

After that, the teachers explained the definition of the vocabulary. Students also played a Kahoot about the previous lessons. Then students learn about a traditional American festival: Halloween. We explained the history of Halloween, as well as how people usually celebrate it. To keep up with current events, we also asked the students to predict what Halloween will look like this year with the ongoing pandemic.

Since school starts this week in China, some of the students could not attend the class. I will reschedule class time next week so more people can join.
