Sophie learned Lesson 19 in the Level 1 textbook today. Before class, I asked Sophie how her family celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, and I learned that they ate moon cakes. Sophie also finished the “mini assignment” I gave her, which was to wish her family a happy Mid-Autumn Festival in Chinese. I’m so happy she remembered! Afterwards, we reviewed the first three lessons together. She has a firm understanding on Lesson 16 and 17, but we spent some time on Lesson 18. Sophie has made great progress understanding and pronouncing the words. Next. week, I will teach her our new lesson- a nursery rhyme.
