This week, my students and I studied Lesson 5, Lesson 6 and Lesson 7 of Book Three. The seventh lesson is about ancient Chinese poetry. Ancient poems are not so easy to teach, because some Chinese meanings could not necessarily be explained literally. It would require students to understand the meaning of this word before they can understand the meaning of this ancient poem. And for students, there is not much connection before and after reading ancient poetry, so it will be more difficult to learn.
