My student and I met twice this week and read a total of five articles about Newton, Chaplin, Li Shizhen, the Chinese New Year, and the mythical story of Chang'e Flying to the Moon. On Tuesday, I led the discussion and read the story for him. These texts are somewhat difficult, but Ethan's reading is generally good. For the remainder of class on Thursday, I omitted certain words and asked Ethan to fill in the blanks and explain their meanings in Chinese. His answer was very specific, and he had definitely improved from before.
