I learned a lot over the last few months as a volunteer for “Weekly Talk,” one of which includes reaching beyond my comfort zone. I was never a techy person, and always thought I would never be successful at making or editing videos. This volunteering experience proved me wrong. Not only am I more familiar with editing tools such as iMovie, I am also interested and passionate in what I do. As someone who had been afraid to try anything new, I found joy in the one thing I feared the most. I also found that, in the process of making a video, I need to make sure my voiceover matches what is on the slideshow. It is easy for me to speak faster inadvertently, but I forced myself to slow down my pace, and line up my narrative with my slideshows.
