This week, Janet and I studied the tenth lesson in the first book. Since her family speaks Chinese at home, she knows how to speak the language very well. However, she had trouble identifying the words, so her parents also gave her some additional help on Pinyin in their leisure time. Because of this, Janet’s pronunciation and reading has greatly improved. Although she still needs some help on comprehending some of the texts,she is able to read some texts on her own and sound out characters that she has never seen before.
