Usually, Janet and I will learn two lessons on Saturdays because our lesson lasts for two hours. But this week we only did one lesson. She learned 东南西北(east, south, west, north) during her eleventh lesson. She understood the lesson very well and she was able to connect this with 前后左右which is front, back, left, and right. Her pronunciation of the words is also getting better. We were able to learn up to “w” in pinyin, and she did a nice job

when attempting to sound out all the words in the book. We watched a Weekly talk video about Route 1 in between the first and second lesson, and she was able to connect to the Chinese and English pronunciations of the locations in the videos as well!
