Today's class was held at 1:00 p.m. The children were a little sleepy after lunch, but they were still very active. Derek learns very fast, basically two to three lessons in one session. I asked the child if she thought the pace was too fast and if she wanted to stop and learn slowly. She was very confident and even suggested the idea of skipping the easy lessons. I asked her again about her Chinese level and assured her that I could change the lessons without making them too hard for the children to learn. In the last ten minutes of the lesson, the child accepted my suggestion to play a video because the lesson alone was really boring. I showed the video of the Tortoise and the Hare and let the children summarize the lesson.
