I taught Christine this week using the Mulanting Grade 2 textbook. We learned two new texts and reviewed a few books from last week. Generally speaking, Christine absorbed the content well, but she sometimes forgets the more difficult Chinese characters. About 7 minutes before the end of class, I showed her “Weekly Talk,” our filmed mini-lectures on current events, and asked her to answer some questions based on the video. I guided her to speak Chinese for most of the class.
